We can't imagine many of you will need an introduction to the work of Chris Adams. Whether it be in his guise as co-founder of Leeds post-rock experimentalists Hood, or his solo project Bracken and collaborations as part of On Fell.

His Drum ‘n’ Bass project Downpour has been releasing records since the scene was at its apex, debuting in ‘97 on the US based Dropbeat imprint.  ‘Do You Remember When It Was All About The Drums? Pts 1 & 2’  first appeared as two separate low key digital-only releases on Adams’ Bandcamp page. Now we’re presenting both parts, expanded to include the additional track ‘Red Flag’, in its first physical incarnation as part of our cassette series.

These tracks were the result of intense sessions poring over complex drum programming, underpinned by the sort of sub bass that shakes buildings near Adams' Yorkshire hideaway. Add in gorgeous of-the-era pads, disembodied vocal snatches and Adams' ingenuity for an earworm, these tracks contain the best breakcore/drum 'n' bass/jungle since the days when it really was all about the drums.

The cassette is presented as pro-dubbed, translucent dark blue cassette shell with onbody print in a clear library case with a full colour, two panel insert printed on both sides and all wrapped in a full colour O Card with download code. Strictly limited to 100 copies.
